A: Standard industrial cutting depths: 25mm, 35mm, 50mm, 75mm, 100mm. Deep-hole types are available in 150mm, 200mm and 300mm. Standard cutters work for steel plates 5 to 100mm thick, while customized deep-hole cutters support plates up to 300mm.

Q: What hole diameters can annular cutters drill?

A: Regular industrial diameters range from φ12mm to φ150mm. φ12mm–φ60mm are the most widely used specifications for engineering and factory applications

Q: Is cooling lubricant required for annular cutter drilling? Which lubricant should be used?

A: Cooling and lubrication are highly recommended to greatly extend tool service life.

Carbon steel: Emulsion coolant, general cutting fluid.

Stainless steel & alloy steel: Extreme pressure cutting oil.

Q: What materials can annular cutters drill? Which materials are not suitable?

A: Suitable: Carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, cast iron, cast steel, mold steel, copper, aluminum and other non-ferrous metals.

Not recommended: Concrete, tile, stone, glass and other brittle non-metallic materials, which cause rapid wear and chipping. Ultra-hard steel above HRC60 also requires special customized tools.

Q: Can dull annular cutters be reground? How to resharpen them?

A: Yes. HSS annular cutters can be resharpened by grinding machines. TCT carbide cutters need diamond grinding wheels. Only grind end cutting edges and keep original edge angles. Do not grind the outer diameter, which will reduce hole size and damage the cutter. Proper regrinding allows 3–5 repeated uses and reduces tool costs effectively.
